Delete your data or your account

Some of your data, without deleting your account. Open any reminder and delete it, or open People and remove someone — which also releases anything they were holding you to. Both take effect on our server straight away and neither touches your account. If you would rather we did it, email the address below saying what you want removed.

All of it, and the account

The quick way is in the app: open People (the ⚙ at the top), scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete my account. Your account, your reminders, the people you named, and your subscription record are removed from our server immediately, and the phone is wiped. There is no waiting period and nothing is kept.

If you no longer have the app: email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my Hector account. It is done within seven days and you get a reply when it is.

A paid subscription is Google's: cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the account does not cancel it, and cancelling it does not delete the account.

What is deleted, in full: your email and account id; every reminder and its proof sentence; the names in People and their permissions; the purchase token and status. Nothing about your messages was ever stored, so there is nothing of them to delete. See the privacy policy.
